Everyone will feel the heat as India U-19 and Pakistan U-19 meet at Dubai for the Under-19 World Cup group stage fixture and the old rivalry gets to life again. The match will be played on Saturday, 15th February and is scheduled to start at 5:30 GMT and 9:30 local time. There have been quite close fights between the two sides in the past and it is hard to predict the outcome of the game at the moment.
Pakistan boasts of some good players both in their batting and bowling attacks. Recently they have won most of the matches they have played so far and almost all the guys look in groove and are expected to give a close fight against the arch-rivals. The major contributor at the top is Sami Aslam who has been amongst runs against India in the past as well. Who can forget the 87 and 108 runs knocks he played in UAE. Similarly, Imam-ul-Haq is another emerging young cricketer for Pakistan Under-19. He showed some glimpses of his talent and class in the last series against Afghanistan. Both these guys will be the key for Pakistan’s chances in the game of Saturday. Some other important batsmen will be Hasan Raza and Saifullah Khan.
They also have some good all-rounders playing for them with the likes of Hussain Talat and Saud Shakeel while Zia-ul-Haq, Zafar Gohar and Salman Saeed will lead their bowling attack.
India U-19 will play in the captaincy of Vijay Zol who has got some good repute in the domestic circuit especially because of the IPL franchise RCB. Besides him, Sanju Samson is another key player for Indians who played for Rajasthan Royals in last season of IPL and both of them have got a row of good performances backing them up as they go in the all-important encounter against Pakistan on 15th of February. Sanju even scored a splendid 100 against Pakistan earlier this year. Other players to name for India will be Akhil Herwadkar, Ricky Bhui and Shreyas Iyer.
Indians basically lack when it comes to their bowling. They usually have faced problems in finding some good pace bowlers and same is the issue here. But if Deepak Hooda, Atit Sheth, Avesh Khan and Aamir Gani manage to bowl at tight line and length then they can really make life harder for the Pakistani batsmen in the middle.
