Medical and Dental College Entry Test

In Pakistan children are brought up with a deep rooted and clear thought that they are to just memorize the text books for better performance in the examination. No doubt this strategy is quite effective for High score in FSc exams. But it is a great hurdle , besides the usefulness of the entrytest as a whole for the nation, for the students seeking admission in Professional colleges. Majority of our students come from colleges following traditional system of memorization (rather craming) so they face a variety of problems in preparing the entrytest. The gap between acquired and required skills, test takers are suggested to study the text books thoroughly keeping in mind that they are not going to be appeared in any subjective test, but they are to take MCAT, which is not a cramming based test but rather a concept and short methods oriented test. That's why they are to be dynamic. The general bias that only the text book craming, as no question out of books will be included in the entrytest is just a misconception. The reverse results of test takers with high score in FSc but low score in the entrytest is an obvious consequence of this misconception.

The entrytest structure based on FSc course concepts. Only Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English are included. Each question from each section carry equal points. However, the number of questions in English are fewer than other sections. The number of questions in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology is 50 in each section, while in English section there are 30 questions. (Note: The number of question may change and be finalized after the publication of this year Prospectus).
